Contributing to regional revitalization

Phototravel projects

AOI Pro. runs regional revitalization projects centered on video education support, primarily targeting students.
Through its "Phototravel: Capture Your Region's Charm on Film!" project, AOI Pro. provides its video production expertise to students who then showcase and share the charms of their region in videos and use them to promote their area. They also run a "school trip-style" program where students explore and film the charm of regions they visit for the first time.

Another Side of Japan

"Another Side of Japan," launched by TYO in September 2024, is a series of videos showcasing the unique tourist attractions of Japan's regions through video platforms and social media, with the goal of reaching potential tourists around the world.
"Another Side of Japan" focuses on lesser-known regions of Japan and showcases their appeal through video content produced and distributed by TYO. It aims to address overtourism by proposing regional destinations as sustainable alternatives, contributing to the decentralization of foreign tourists. This initiative supports Japan's goal of becoming a tourism-based nation and contributes to regional revitalization.

Investment in C7 Hayabusa, operator of the Hayabusa Lab. public-private partnership initiative for regional revitalization

KANAMEL is investing in C7 Hayabusa Co., Ltd.
C7 Hayabusa was established in 2017 as an operating company to promote new urban development projects in Yazu Town, Tottori Prefecture, and is responsible for the operation of Hayabusa Lab., a public-private collaborative initiative.
Hayabusa Lab. is a "community complex" established by repurposing an abandoned elementary school building. It serves as a hub for creating sustainable futures for rural areas through collaboration between the government, local community, private companies and regional financial institutions. Regional revitalization initiatives involving Hayabusa Lab. have been highlighted as a success story on the Cabinet Office's "Regional Revitalization SDGs Public-Private Partnership Platform."

Producing ads with generative AI technology

Following the proliferation of AI chat services, AI-based image and video generation technology has also been evolving at an increasingly faster pace, drawing significant attention for its application in the advertising business.
TYO pioneered the use of image-generating AI in fashion advertising in its collaboration with Studio DOG LLC to create the 2023 PARCO "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" Christmas season campaign. Without resorting to actual model photography, the campaign was entirely made using prompts (text to generate images). Every element--from the characters and backgrounds appearing in the graphics and movie to the narration and music--was completed using several cutting-edge generative AI technologies.

Developing digital content that transcends communication barriers

Using the resources and technology of TREE Digital Studio, we planned and developed original digital content that can play a social function. The theme was "Communication With No Borders." We live our lives surrounded by differences of all kinds--nationality, race, age, gender, disabilities or lack thereof. By recognizing these differences, sharing our emotional reactions to them and creating more places and opportunities for everyone to have fun together, we hope to contribute to the creation of an inclusive society.
At SXSW 2023, we exhibited content that visualizes sound, allowing listeners and those with hearing impairments to enjoy it together, alongside content that reads emotions from facial expressions and gestures.
